Success is what you think it is.
Period.
Let that drop in for a bit.
How you define it equates to what it is.
No one else can define it for you.
Yet, how to be successful…well, that’s pretty much the same for everyone.
You’ve got to have the mind of a winner…and the ability to stand in the fire.
A few weeks ago, there was pressure building in my life.
Things seemed to be unraveling.
It felt like I was standing still…with flames circling around me and no easy way out of it.
~ I was dealing with unethical behavior…
~ I was dealing with topsy-turvy family dynamics…
~ I was dealing with broken promises…
I was dealing with all the things no one ever wants to deal with…and all at once.
Yet, I have the mind and heart of a warrior.
See, success takes more than skill.
It requires you to have the mindset of a winner …even when the odds feel stacked against you.
The decision to create and act from that mindset is what can set me apart.
I choose how I define success. I choose to act as a winner. I choose what I need to do in order to succeed. I choose to persevere in spite of conditions.
You see, how you perform under pressure well that’s where champions are made.
And, I’ve learned long ago that this warrior is a champion...and one that's not about to compromise my dreams.
ACTION: The Upside Challenge for the week is to determine your mindset. Is it fixed in a way that keeps you where you've been instead of being your best?
Choose wisely.
Choose upside.
Choose the mindset of success as you define it.
