At some point in your life, perhaps someone told you that you would never make it.
They said you didn't have what it takes or that maybe you just weren't smart enough or strong enough.
And you heard "not good enough" or some other judgment/opinion ... and listened to them instead of yourself.
That happened to me more times than I can count.
In grade school, I was told because my parents were divorced that I would be someday too.
So I carried that with me ... and stayed away from serious relationships, feeling they were doomed to fail.
In high school, my guidance counselor told me I wasn't smart enough to get into a good college and I shouldn't bother applying.
So I only applied to schools I thought I could get into vs. applying and potentially going where I wanted.
After my car accident, I was told I wouldn't ever be able to exercise, let alone touch my toes.
So I didn't bother trying for a long time - and ended up 30 pounds overweight.
Today, the naysayers or doomsayers show up less frequently ...
... and when they do, it's like they're on a different channel ...
... one that I choose not to hear.
I have nothing to prove to others ...and I understand my value and worth.
Nothing and no one can take me off course from fulfilling my Divine mission, purpose and calling ...
... so I'm gonna keep shining my light.
And you should do the same.
ACTION: The Upside Challenge of the week is to identify if you have old "naysayers" in your head or around you that prevent you from taking action and shining.
Practice changing "the channel."
Listen to your truth.
Be inspired by your mission.
Stay on course.
Remember, the world needs you and your brilliance.
