You have talents, gifts, and abilities that weren’t packaged up and given to anyone else but you. So how do you express your gratitude?
On Friday, I returned from a glorious self-guided silent, meditative retreat.
The gifts I’ve received from being in silence for 3+ days cannot be properly expressed in words at this moment.
My heart is overflowing with gratitude for what showed up for me.Express Your Gratitude
More on that at a later date…..
You may or not know that I love to send cards and give gifts.
When I do this, it is an outward expression of my gratitude.
Wherever I travel, I seek out special presents for my closest friends, clients, and colleagues.
The woman who runs my Design Your Destiny Live™ event has become a close and personal friend.
We share our personal lives and faith journey as well as engage in business together.
Several years ago she gave me a wall hanging that reads, “Gratitude: To be present in the appreciation of life’s abundance and to share that light with others.”
Whenever I walk by that piece, I read it and my heart smiles.
Express Your Gratitude
I express gratitude in this manner because I value the relationships in my life and want to let the people I love feel my love in a tangible way.
Often times (about 90%), I don’t get an acknowledgment of the card or gift I sent, let alone a thank you.
And, sometimes I wonder if they ever received them.
I remember my grandmother saying that she stopped sending gifts to some of my relatives because she never heard back from them or received acknowledgment.
For me, I continue to send them – because this is about me being present in the appreciation of life’s abundance.
This is about me fully sharing the light of gratitude with others.
You have a big mission and calling.
You have talents, gifts, and abilities that weren’t packaged up and given to anyone else but you.
You have a genius and brilliance that lives within you that the world needs.
I am incredibly grateful that our lives intersected and that you’re reading the Upside Thought at this moment in time.
Know that I don’t take our connection lightly.
As you move through this week, please take my love and gratitude with you.
You are one of a kind – and the world needs you and your brilliance.
Action Item: Express Your Gratitude
The Upside Challenge of the week is to identify what are you most grateful for right now. What will you do to express your gratitude?
