Pushing Pause (We’re Taking a Break this Week)

In honor of my commitment to spaciousness and self-care, I‘m taking a break this week. I invite you to create your own form of spaciousness and self-care.
In honor of my commitment to spaciousness and self-care, I’m headed to Holy Cross Abbey for 3 ½ days of silence.
After a very full and productive several months where I’ve cultivated some incredible opportunities and spent four (4) wonderful days with clients at my home for their annual “Realize Your Destiny” and “Seize Your Spotlight” retreats, I’ve chosen to create margin in my business and life and get quiet.
Located 90 minutes away, the Catholic Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance (otherwise referred to as Trappists or Trappist Monks) have a monastery. They also have a separate retreat house for lay people like myself to experience monastic life through self-directed, silent meditative retreats.
When I was looking to recharge, I examined what would fill me up in all 7 areas of well-being — physically, emotionally, intellectually, financially, spiritually, relationally, and work/creativity.
I chose to the local monastery instead of going to a spa as 3 ½ days without access to electronics or conversations will be good for my soul and spirit and revitalize all 7 areas.
Taking a Break Taking a Break
Because of this, I am taking the week off from sharing a weekly Upside Thought. And, I invite you to create your own form of spaciousness and self-care this week.
