Are you doing it the old way and expecting new results?

You are important to me.
And, for years, I’ve worked on reaching out one-on-one just to connect.
Whether you and I have had the pleasure of meeting up with when I’m traveling around the country working with clients or it’s been years since we’ve seen each other, I wish that instead of you receiving the Upside Thinker through pixilated letters, that you and I were meeting for at the neighborhood bagel shop.
I know our conversation would be inspiring and we’d have a great time laughing and sharing stories.
While I haven’t figured out a way to make that happen, it makes me think about how I can increase my connection with you – and how we can both be more connected with others.
Genuine connection opens doors and allows you to experience different perspectives.
It lets you feel valued, appreciated, and loved for who you are. (Heavens knows we all need more of that!)
Yet, sometimes you can get off track with what connection is, and how to best connect.
I recently completed my newest ebook, The 7 Keys to Mastering the Art of Connection, that I’ll be launching next year..
Truthfully, most people make connecting more complicated than it is.
Connection is simply the link that keeps you and I together – and the first step is to touch someone (and hopefully change their day) with your words.
ACTION ITEM: The Upside Challenge of the week is to reach out to 3 people who have been on your radar and you’ve been meaning to pick up the phone but just haven’t made the time.
People don’t care how much you know unless they know how much you care.
People remember how you make them feel, so make them feel valued, appreciated, and loved.
And, finally, people follow the person first, not their great plan. Be someone worth following.
