Personal leadership matters as much as how you show up in your professional life.
The people around you are watching what you say “yes” to and what you say “no” to-and some of them are modeling their behavior and choices around yours.
I want you to have an amazing life…….
…….because you are amazing.
You’re smart.
You’re talented.
And, you’re deserving of all good things.
Here are 3.5 things that have made a huge difference in me leading an Upside life.
1. Give yourself a break. Take time off. My grandmother would often engage in the martyr syndrome working her fingers to the bone and then singing the “woe is me” song. Your body needs to rest and rejuvenate. Take two days off every week. Plan a vacation – even if it’s in your home.
2. Accept responsibility for your mistakes and missteps. When you own it, fix it, and let it go, you’re better off than the person who took no risks today.
3. Expect great things to happen to you. Fear holds many people back from achieving greatness. You have a mission and calling and it’s BIG. The world needs you and your brilliance.
3.5 Ask for a hand-up. You can’t go it alone – and neither can I. To make it to the Summit, sometimes we need a little help from our friends.s.
ACTION ITEM: The Upside Challenge of the week is to do one thing from this list that will make a difference in your life.
You don’t become the thing you think about most often. You become the thing you do most often.
Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose wisely. Lead Upside
Keep riding the Upside. It’s all Upside.
