As someone who believes in Divine right timing, I trust that all things work out for a reason.
There is a sign in my office that reads, “Whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.”
Yet, I understand the importance of not just winging it and planning out what I want.
In fact, the 1st Pillar in my 7 Pillars of Leadership is to Start With a Written Plan Beginning With the End In Mind.
But, lately I’ve been in many conversations where the H&P method of planning is used – to “Hope & Pray” something happens.
Being successful takes more than sitting around and hoping – or praying.
It takes action.
Consistent action.
Consistent, intentional action.
Oh, I’ve tried closing my eyes and willing something to happen.
Or, begging and bargaining.
And, these strategies have never worked.
But, I’ve found that success is a sure thing if your clear about who you are, what you want to focus on and why it’s important – and you have a plan of action.
It really is that simple. (Look, I’m all about what’s effective and easy-peasy so I’m not looking for complicated or confusing.)
CALL TO ACTION: The Upside Challenge this week is to take action on something you’ve been putting off. What do you want to do but have been stalling doing? And, why has it been a struggle?
Make the commitment to shine light on who you are, what you want, and why it’s important. (From my 1st book, Designing Your Destiny)
Remember, the world needs your brilliance.
