When I grew up, "not enough" seemed like it was part of my daily life.
My dad left when I was 6 years old and at times there was a struggle for enough money, food and clothing in our household.
My mom was amazing at stretching a dollar seeking to care for me and my sister on her limited pay -- without my father's support/income.
Despite an abundance of attention and love I often felt God forgot about me or that the financial hardship was punishment for something I did wrong.
As an adult I see where the “not enough” mindset ...
... has reared its ugly head ...
... sneaking into some of my business interactions.
When I face challenges in my life, sometimes I have again fallen back into that wondering about whether God has forgotten about me or if somehow I'm "not enough" to be remembered.
This only happens for a brief moment ... and it’s something I’ve noticed clients experience, too.
Looking back, when I have had a need, whether physical, emotional, or a spiritual need for wisdom, it’s important to remember that everything happens in perfect timing.
My responsibility is to trust, not judge, the value of my inherent worth so I don’t get off track, and can fully use the gifts, abilities, talents and experiences I have.
This isn't always easy ...
... yet I'm committed to stay the course ...
... and notice when "not enough" shows up and why.
So if you are questioning your enough-ness ... look into the old belief patterns and ways of reacting.
Choose to see them in a new light to bring light and love to yourself... and
... take it from me, you're all that and more.
ACTION: The Upside Challenge of the week is to notice your thinking and your energetic response to it. Notice when your thinking is an old "habit" that doesn't help you have greater understanding or move you forward.
What takes you "out" and thwarts you?
Dig in to understand it's origins.
Have compassion for yourself and what was. Decide what will be. Commit to the new thinking.
