Committing to Your Personal Summit
Every day, there are folks who take actions that pull them away from what matters most - their Divine mission and purpose.
They delay the activities that are critical to take in order for them to have what they want, and they convince themselves that they can wait until 'tomorrow.'
Actions like:
- Calling loved ones
- Learning a second language
- Making healthier choices
- Moving your body
- Investing in your future
- Addressing patterns that get in the way of health, happiness, success, or the ability to live a meaningful life
When you're clear about who you are, what you want, and why it matters, you are choosing the direction of your life, where you're headed.
When you're clear where you're going, you can then step into the commitment phase.
The equation I use is:
Choice + Direction + Commitment + Consistent Action
as it guarantees success.
When you're fuzzy, you flounder, focusing on the demands of what's urgent vs. focusing on what's important - your Divine mission.
The actions you take today determine whether you'll ever get to your personal Summit.
And, I get how hard this can be.
Change takes time and effort. And risk.
It requires you to give up the current version of who you are.
In a world where instant gratification is celebrated, it's often hard to make those changes.
In my next email, I will share with you more about my personal experience and a life-altering accident that got me started.
ACTION: The Upside Challenge for this week is to identify one area where you often delay learning, a new skill that could propel you forward in fulfilling your Divine mission.
Remember: Choice + Direction + Commitment + Consistent Action = Success
For instance:
- If your Divine mission involves writing, commit to writing 100 words every day.
- If it involves public speaking, commit to practicing speaking for 5 minutes each day.
- If it involves coding, commit to completing one coding tutorial this week.
Remember, small steps towards learning a new skill can significantly contribute to your progress.
