“Pray to catch the bus, then run as fast as you can." ~ Julia Cameron
Prayer is the divine communication channel to speak directly to God.
While many people wait to pray until they're in dire straits ... (I get it as that used to be me), today I pray about and for EVERYTHING.
My life is literally one continual prayer.
And that doesn’t mean I sit in my office cross-legged ... and wait for opportunities to show up.
Prayer without work(s) is meaningless.
You have to run as fast as you can towards what you want.
Earlier this week I had a conversation with a client who said when I asked everyone at an Upside Retreat to examine where they were lying to themselves...
...she was confronted.
And I get that.
Yet she did that examination, took action, and is reaping the rewards.
Others that were at that retreat ...
... ran towards easy street, avoiding doing the hard work of being really honest with themselves and truly examining why they were stuck, and now are paying the price for their paralysis.
See, this is a journey of truth telling to oneself ...
and honestly assessing if you’re doing your part. or me asking God for something without taking action feels ... not right. As if it's a wish to be granted like in a fairy tale... not to mention asking with an expectation is a tad arrogant.
It’s your job to move past fear, and fully use your gifts, abilities talents and experiences to live out your Divine mission.
Period.
~ If you don't feel capable to do it on your own, get help.
~ If you don’t understand something or need additional skills, go and get them.
~ If you experience doubt, reach out and find a way to dispel it.
Pray.
Ask.
And do the work, running as fast as you can, choosing to become 1% better every day.
Be open to receive success because you’ve done your part and honored what has been given to you.
ACTION: The Upside Challenge for the week is to look in the mirror.
Are you:
~ Seeing clearly?
~ Willing to look honestly?
~ Examining the places you've been stuck so you can actually figure out how to shift and move forward?
Are you doing your part?
If not, reach out to a trusted person...
