I hosted the 6th annual Leadership Success Summit two weeks ago and since that time, I’ve been catching on projects, getting my taxes together, and finalizing the back end pieces that are part of putting on a successful event
At the event, I gave the attendees a special opportunity to work with me.
Since my coaching has shifted and I only work with highly-motivated, incredibly focused, powerful super– star clients, I offer packages that will best support their genius.
This opportunity was for a super-low investment – lower than any of my coaching packages and I did it without devaluing myself or my current clients. It was also a way of me being super generous to attendees who were serious about continuing their journey to the Summit.
After the event, I received a message from someone who attended the Leadership Success Summit and wanted to set up a time to talk with me.
We scheduled a time to meet and I was looking forward to connecting with him.
He called at our appointed time and opened the call with a hearty and warm, “Thank You, Lisa Marie!” (He has a way of always making people feel special.)
He went on to share how much he got out of the conference and how on his flight back he asked himself an interesting question, “Aren’t I worth $250?!?” (The monthly price of one of the programs I was offering.)
During the conversation, he spoke about the challenges he faced over the past year and the immense value he gives his clients.
And, then he showed his courage by boldly claiming that he was ready to sign up to work with me because he knows “it’s his time” – despite the fact that his largest client had cancelled their contract earlier in the day because of internal re-structuring and budget constraints.
Wow!
At that moment, I was feeling incredibly blessed to be on a call with someone who clearly knows what they are worth and recognizes that it has nothing to do with external validation or circumstances. (I cannot wait to see what the next year brings for him. I know I’m in for one heck of a ride.)
