You may remember that last week was the week when I was in Wisconsin at The Inn at Timber Cove working on my business plan for the following year.
It’s my annual time of heavy reflecting on all that I have accomplished over the past 12 months.
This year has been incredibly inspiring and challenging and yielded amazing insights and results.
Yes, between the rebranding, book writing, and planning for the 6th Annual Leadership Success Summit, coupled with new projects and clients, it’ been quite a ride.
If you’ve spent much time checking out my work, you know that I teach how people follow the person 1st and then their great plan. And, how the world is made for those who stand out, not those who fit in. At least successful leaders and rock star businesses.
Are you currently worth following?
Do you stand out enough so that your co-workers, colleagues, and customers think of you first?
Leadership is influence, nothing more and nothing less.
So, if you don’t feel you’re making the impact you want to make,
Or you recognize that when you speak people don’t always hear what you’re saying,
Or your ideas are overlooked or ignored — or worse, someone else gets the credit for them.
Then, this has got to change in order for you to yield the INFLUENCE that will easily open the doors to the opportunities you want — with the people who hold the decision-making keys.
It’s about inspiring people so much that they want you to reach your goals.
And, this is about doing it from an authentic place with their Highest Good in mind.
What I’ve realized in my own business is that I really don’t want to work with everyone.
I want to work with those people who are powerfully connected to the inner knowing that they’ve got a BIG purpose a BIG calling, even if they have NO CLUE how to lean into it or how to position themselves so they get the recognition they deserve.
Yep, these are my people. They’re already successful and they are hungry for more.
BIG Influence = BIG Income.
CALL TO ACTION: The Upside Challenge this week is to take out a blank paper and answer the questions above — Are you currently worth following? Do you stand out enough so that your co-workers, colleagues, and customers think of you first? Simply write the question out. Answer with a “yes” or “no” and write out why in two or three sentences. The 3rd and 4th questions are what do I need to do to increase, improve, and up-level my answers? And, when will I get started?
Life is change. Growth is Optional. Choose wisely. Live Upside.
