Right now, my house is empty.
Yes, empty.
And some of my favorite things have been burned.
Yes, burned.
And my faith is stronger than it’s ever been.
It would be a very long story …if I were to fully share what’s going on in my world today.
And someday I will share it all.
So, why am I telling you this part now?
Because most people have the notion that they will get to a place in life where
it will be magically easy.
That if they uncover the SECRET to life …then no hardship will befall them.
As someone who places All of my trust in God and made Him the CEO of my company a few years ago, … I can tell you this is a myth.
Hardship and challenges aren’t because you did something wrong.
They are often tied into your Divine mission, purpose, and calling.
They are to be used by you to model His strength, not yours.
Here is a short list of things God has blessed me with:
~ An event sponsor who committed murder after my conference
~ An event sponsor who texted all of my attendees and told them NOT to work with me
~ A client who called me to tell me she tried to sabotage my business – and now felt bad about it, and wanted me to forgive her
~ A client who took all of my marketing materials and launched the same program
~ A collapsed lung – and then the 2nd, and given 24 hours to live
~ A diagnosis of epilepsy at 6 years old
Over the years, I’ve been sued, stolen from, and lied to by “friends”, colleagues, and clients alike.
I’ve had clients stop paying me and break contracts just because it was convenient to do so.
As a child and teen, I was physically beaten, emotionally battered, and abused by men that didn’t have tools to deal with a strong-willed child.
I've been harassed by men on the job who just thought they had the right to do so.
And the list goes on and on …
Yet, every single thing that has ever happened in my entire life …
… was a gift that blessed ...
... and I wouldn't change a thing.
Each hardship, each upset, everything has been designed to strengthen my relationship with God and to learn and grow spiritually.
My story has changed and saved lives.
What I have lived through has made me the woman I am today.
So right now ...as I stand in the middle of this storm, I am incredibly aware that God will use this as a way to bless others and simultaneously bless me.
See, that’s how it works.
Everything you’ve had happen that you’ve survived has the ability to bless others.
It is the KEY to unlock your Divine mission, purpose and calling.
So if you’re going through a storm, keep going.
If you just got through a storm, have you looked at all of the ways God kept you safe?
Are you clear on what you will do to use the experience to make the world better?
Oh, and if you’re not just getting out of a "storm" or currently in one, hold on tight, cuz it’s coming.
ACTION: The Upside Challenge for the week is to examine a recent or current storm in your life.
What are the lessons?
What gifts might it bring you and others when you examine it from the perspective of your divine purpose, mission, and calling?
Wherever you are, you have a responsibility to shine your light.
