What Do Your Thoughts Say About You?

If I wrote this week’s Upside Thought on a $100 bill, rolled it up and placed it into a glass bottle, and dropped it into the ocean, when you found it you would be in awe.

You would probably think, “Wow!”

While I don’t have that luxury to get your attention, I’d like for you to envision today’s message arriving as if it were coming to you with the specialness of being delivered in that bottle.

The message: Change Your Thinking to Change Your Life.

Yep.

That’s it.

Sounds simple.

And, maybe it’s something you’ve even said before, and there is power and wisdom beyond those words.

Two days ago, I hosted my inaugural “Co-Creating a New World: Dismantling What Is to Build What Will Be ~ A World Where Everyone Wins” gathering.

After I began promoting the event, I began to have doubts and negative thoughts about who I was to do this, and whether I was skilled enough to hold an event designed to effect change on the planet.

After those thoughts showed up, I did two things:

1) I reached out to one of my mentors who challenged me to feel into whether I believed these thoughts were true. (The answer was no. They were simply part of old stories and programming rooted in fear.)

2) I paused to inquire why they were showing up in the first place which took me on a beautiful journey where I examined what had been getting in the way of me stepping out to do the work I’m called to do. 

The result of these two actions made it clear that in order for this event to happen in the manner for which it was created, I had to change my thoughts. ((BTW – The event created openings, and doors of possibility that you literally made have felt the Earth shift.))

Everything in life is energy.

  • Are you sabotaging yourself by allowing old stories to rob you of your power?
  • Are you letting the not-so-Upside thoughts that reside in your subconscious stop you from creating the life you deserve?

You can do this consciously or unconsciously.

For example, when you’ve said you want your health to be a priority but you fail to honor your commitment to eat healthy or exercise, that’s sabotage.

When you continue to make clearing the clutter an item on your to-do list and you never schedule time to organize, that’s sabotage.

Any message that sabotages your success is something that gets in the way of what you want to achieve.

Gandhi once said, “Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny.”

When you Change Your Thinking, You Change Your Life.
