Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about my big vision for making the world a safer place, creating a world where everyone wins. Here are three steps to create your big vision, move you from where you and are and into the Upside Zone.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about my big vision for making the world a safer place, creating a world where everyone wins.
When I think about this vision, I’m clear that the place to start is from a place of authenticity where you choose to do what you want without having to compromise who you are.
- What if creating your vision didn’t require you to work harder than you’re already working? In fact, what if it were easier?!? (Sounds crazy, right?!?)
- What if creating your vision didn’t come with a side of stress or the need to make massive sacrifices?
- What if your career/business and life success was more about getting designing your destiny with ease and grace?!?
I get that this sounds too good to be true – and yet, I’ve seen the transformation take place before my very eyes in my own life and with countless clients.
Unfortunately, most people live lives of quiet desperation, afraid to speak up and ask for what they really want.
Most people never dream big because they’re afraid of failing, or even worse, they’re afraid of succeeding, concerned about the high level of stress and sacrifice that may come with their success.
And, I get this.
I’ve been at this crossroads more times that I’d like to admit.
I’ve cried, played it safe, and even self-sabotaged my own successes.
Yet, when I allow myself to truly design my destiny, what I’ve witnessed for myself and others are miracles.
Amazing things are possible for you – and you’ll likely need to take the road less traveled.
The traditional path to success to work harder, try harder, sacrifice more, and suffer your way to the results you want has never worked for me.
The new path is about clarity, alignment, mindset, and focusing on one thing.
It’s about listening to the deepest parts of your soul – and being the best version of who you’re called to be.
Here are 3 steps to move you from where you are and into the Upside Zone
- Identify Your Non-Negotiables.
I can never speak or write enough about the importance of scheduling into your calendar what you aren’t willing to negotiate.
In order to bridge the gap and move from where you are to where you want to be, you have to be clear about what you aren’t willing to sacrifice.
It breaks my heart when I work with a leader who traded in her/his life for something less valuable just because they failed to be clear about what mattered most to them.
- Cool Your Jets.
Neuroscience researchers have revealed the power of stillness, mindfulness, and silence as it relates to making better decisions with your life and being happier, healthier and wealthier.
The ability to slow down and not be on hyper-drive at all times allows you to be clearer in your mind and be more resilient.
And, who wouldn’t want that?!?
- Get Clear on Your One Thing.
What do you want your mark on the world – your legacy — to be?
If you only had 60 seconds to send a message to every person on the planet, what would it be?
After you answer those questions, what is the most important thing for you to be focused on today?
If you’re not taking action on what matters most, you’re moving further away from what you want.
You deserve to feel inspired, happy, and purposeful every day.
You deserve to be moving to your groove – and having the doors to big opportunities open for you.
You deserve a destiny that is well-designed where you don’t have to compromise or trade in parts of your soul to get what you want.
You are meant to shine brightly – and the world needs you and your brilliance.
The Upside Challenge of the week is to take action on all 3 steps and reach out to 1 person to share what you’ve noticed.
I’ve created new non-negotiables now that my husband is nearing retirement, have been practicing meditation – and spending more time listening to God, and have gotten clearer and clearer on my one thing.
Because of this, what has been showing up for me is awe-inspiring.
And, I want this for you, too.
The world needs you and your brilliance.
