What you focus on expands.
This was a wake-up call for me the first time I ever heard that phrase.
When you give focus and attention to where you’re going, you sizzle, not fizzle.
After spending three amazing, heart-filled, life-changing days with a room filled with change makers wanting to leave the world better than when they found it, this about sums it all up.
***And, a HUGE shout-out to every attendee, volunteer, speaker, panelist and to our #1 sponsor Ashley Furniture as well as every person who was praying for the success of this event, cheering me on behind the scenes. You are loved, valued, and appreciated more than you know. What a special event this year! I never think it can get better, but it does.***
DYDL 2016 - LMP Day 1
Yes, what you focus on expands.
It used to be more important for me to get something done than to do it well.
I think that’s what separates the big boys/girls from those who swim in the kiddie pool in life.
When you’re serious about your goals, your systems, your processes, and your outcomes, you don’t have time to waste.
Your time and energy is centered on doing what’s most important at all times.
I think about pro athletes vs. people who engage in a sport just for fun.
There’s nothing wrong with sport for fun but most pro athletes challenge themselves to be the best they can be in this one arena.
They take their talent seriously.
They show up, practice, and work hard.
How about you?
ACTION ITEM: The Upside Challenge of the week is to examine where you’re simply “going through the motions” and need to give more intention, energy or strategy to in order to succeed.
Breathe new into the stagnant areas of your life by focusing on what’s most important and I promise that you’ll have a lot more fun along the way.
