Since I was feeling a little swallowed up with all of the planning for my 5th annual Leadership Success Summit and the holidays around the corner, I decided to take my own advice to take some time off to center myself and re-energize.
It’s easy to get caught up in the holiday shuffle.
Hours of getting out the decorations, writing Christmas cards, and wrapping gifts are here, and holiday sales announcements seem to be pouring in by the truckload.
……as if you needed the constant reminders of all the things you still need to do… There’s always something on the list, right?!?
And most times, this hustle and bustle doesn’t cultivate a thankful heart in me.
Yet, regardless of how crazy-busy my life is, the key to slowing it down lies within the simple things.
· The things that I sometimes overlook.
· The things that I forget to notice.
· The things that I take for granted.
No matter what circumstances are staring me down, there is always, always, ALWAYS something for which I have to be thankful for in my life.
I encourage you to choose to spend at least five (5) minutes today reflecting on what you’re thankful for, and taking special notice of your many blessings. As you do, silently say the words, “thank you”. It is the best thing you can do to slow life down, and just be happy.
