The key to a solid foundation lies in preparation. Preparation includes having a clear vision and inspiring why, as well as action.
My business colleague and I were just speaking about how different our businesses would be if we knew what we know now.
How true is that with all of life!
Fortunately, growth happens over time.
I believe in Divine Right Timing and trust that when I am ready, the right opportunity will always show up.
One of my clients climbed Mount Kilimanjaro last year.upside-thinking-the-key-to-a-solid-foundation-naomi
She now delivers talks all over the world about her experience.
I liken her experience in climbing to how growth works.
Before starting on her journey, there was A LOT of work that had been done prior to her getting to the summit.
Preparation included having a clear vision and inspiring why (to raise money and awareness for children in developing nations who have heart issues as she is a juvenile heart patient survivor), as well as practicing for the trek with long hikes and ensuring she had the right equipment.
As someone who has experience rock climbing, repelling, and backpacking parts of the Appalachian Trail, I know all too well the value of stepping into your vision in stages.
This has also shown up in my business – and in just about every aspect of my life.
Any time I tried to muscle through something vs. allowing it to unfold and trust in Divine Right Timing, the results were almost disastrous.
When I created my 7 Pillars of Leadership that I teach at Design Your Destiny Live™, I was looking for a shortcut.
What I discovered and have shared with dozens of clients is the importance of building a strong foundation.
The Key To A Solid Foundation
It’s important to put one success pillar in place at a time before adding another and another.
Creating a solid foundation will ensure that your structure won’t crumble when you take the next steps or add the next layer – or in the case of climbing, the next peak or summit.
Remember, growth happens over time.
Wherever you are on your journey, know that the next big opportunities are just around the corner if you continue to take the necessary steps for them to reveal themselves and you trust that everything happens in Divine Right Timing.
